Tennent’s 3.5% campaign is all about giving back to the creative community, a subject close to my heart. My art direction was based on the glued fly poster style that bands and comedy shows are renowned for. For this campaign, there was a lot of assets created, from display ads, to OOH fly posters around the city.

Another motion graphics project with the magical team at Hoxby for Amazon Web Services. I created 3 mini animations and a longer YouTube animation to highlight the benefits of the Loft Services.

Designer & Illustrator

Working for Hoxby on the Amazon Web Services Games Tech project as designer and Illustrator, I built the 3D maps in illustrator based on the games, and also designed interactive stories in Indesign focusing on each of the games companies.

I was always terrified of illustration, like it was something I couldn’t do, my graphic design training and love of grids and geometric shapes made me think I couldn’t be free enough to illustrate. I’ve been enjoying letting myself go with the flow, for client illustrations and for personal projects. I’ll be adding to this gallery as I learn and adapt.

I was over the moon to get to create the animations for AWS and their presence at the Lisbon 2020 Web Summit.

In collaboration with Creative Director John-Paul Hughes, Creative Writer Callum Tyler, Videographer Pete Donaldson, Designer Charly Paige and portrait photographer Christina Kernohan, we put Glasgow’s people at the heart of the campaign.

Casting authentic Subway users, each with their own unique profile and story to tell.

For the past two years I’ve been designing the Quarterly and Annual Research Evaluation Brochures for the SSE Hydro in Glasgow. Working with the Research team at CCUK, I take the numbers and make them engaging and easy to understand. While still keeping a strong design aesthetic to show off the artists they have performing at their venue.

Working with the wonderful Pip Creative, I created this animation for the GroceryAid Awards, that were this year, fully online due during lockdown.

With assets created by Phil at Pip Creative, the animation was a colourful celebration of all the great work that GroceryAid and their partners have achieved in this difficult time.

The final delivery was 129 individual animations, 1 for each specific winner and 129 short animated gifs for social media.

CCUK Create team were tasked with coming up with some ideas for The Drum’s Chip Shop Awards and this was mine. Sadly this didn’t win any awards, but I stand by it as a bloody good entry. Pun intended.

Working with creative agency Mindfield, I created a campaign that would make Thompsons Solicitors stand out from their ‘blue’ corporate, stock image heavy peers.

Using strong typography, bold colours and stripping back their messaging, this campaign stands our as offering a more personal approach to their customers.

This campaign covered all social media channels, internal communications, email marketing and animations.

This was a pitch I designed for The Prince’s Trust to help them appeal more to the youth of today. Using bespoke imagery, the composition embraces white space, giving clear hierarchy to the core message.

The concept communicates future prospects that The Prince’s Trust opens up for young people, a literal helping hand to infinite possibilities.

Lully bear is the brain child of Jane Stewart, she created a unique singing teddy offering 23 timeless lullabies and an uninterrupted hour of soothing music to calm babies and children, whilst providing all the soft comfort of a teddy bear. I worked with Jane from the concept stage right through to the packaging design.

A campaign I came up with to announce the ‘Street Rangers’ in Leeds. The client wanted a super hero theme, I wanted to make sure it was a bit different to the usual cartoon style. Using the Leeds city skyline and Leeds Bids colour palette, the imagery is strong, memorable and fun, creating a buzz around the Street Rangers arrival.

I produced a high impact design that was as punchy as the chosen soundtrack on their radio campaign ensuring everything was cohesive and memorable.

In my free time I love doing pet portraits.

My first album cover design was for the awesome Glasgow band Schnarff Schnarff. They were looking for a design that captured the darkness of their songs and featured some of my low poly work.

In my spare time I make alternative movie posters for some of my favourite films.

A full multimedia campaign for Whipsnade Zoo to stand out to all age groups and target those who have differing opinions on zoos, creating a fun but fact based creative that will engage with all ages.

Another side project is designing quote prints around my favourite films and tv shows. Alan Partridge features heavily!

A redesign for the branding of Clockhouse Nursery, they wanted to have a cleaner, more modern approach to stand out from their competitors.

A Campaign that reminds people of the dangers of STDs, while not bashing them over the head with scary facts. Big, bold typography and bright colour palette grab the eye and tells the story immediately.

A campaign designed in conjunction with a radio advert the client was running. They wanted a high impact design that instantly grabbed peoples attention.

A complete rebranding exercise for a holiday park.

Using a modern serif font in lower case gives a laid back, friendly feel while still remaining professional and legible. The colour palette echos the relaxed feel, using calming, outdoorsy tones.

A pitch campaign around the concept that Kennelgate at the ultimate pet people.
